Current interaction and communication using mobile devices lacks a strong emotional dimension. Interaction is indifferent regardless the emotional state of the user and emotions are flattened through communication channels. However, there is clear evidence that emotional features are very much desired by users. This project aims to take yet another step further in the evolution of communication by focusing on the emotional aspect. The intention is to develop a platform that enables research and development of emotional communication and interaction. The focus will not only be on human to human communication but also on device interaction and how emotional sensing can result in interaction improvements. New interaction and communication concepts will be created using the platform.
